Meet Charley!
Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Charley was found all alone, shaking in the front yard of one of our foster families. Of all the yards in Houston, this little guy somehow landed in the yard of someone who loves dogs and knew exactly how to help him. When she reached out to us, of course we said yes and we are SO glad we did.
Because Charley? He’s just about perfect.
Charley is the sweetest, friendliest little guy who loves pretty much everyone he meets. Kids? Yep. Dogs? Absolutely. Cats? Even them. He’s truly an easy-peasy kind of dog who fits right into family life and loves his people hard.
He’s potty trained, rides great in the car, and happily hops right in when it’s time for an adventure. At night, he’s perfectly content snuggled up in bed with his foster family which, according to Charley, is exactly where he belongs.
He even has a little watchdog side to him. If a stranger comes into the home when his family isn’t around, Charley will make sure everyone knows about it. Tiny security system included.
Charley would love a forever home with people who have plenty of time for cuddles, little adventures, car rides, and just doing life together. He doesn’t need another dog in his home, but he would absolutely love having a friendly canine sibling or at least plenty of opportunities for dog friends and playdates.
Charley is currently fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption around the country. His adoption fee is $600, which includes transport to his forever home.
You may notice Charley’s cherry eye in his photos. He is scheduled for surgery on September 9th to have it repaired and will need a few weeks to fully recover before he can travel. When we found him he was completely matter to his skin, so he had to be shaved.
Charley weighs 16lbs and is maybe around 6 yrs old.
