Meet Moose!!
Moose is only about 7 months old, and he already knows what it’s like to be on his own. He was found wandering the streets of Houston, just another puppy trying to figure out where he belonged. Thankfully, he wandered into the path of the right people. His fosters scooped him up, gave him a safe place to land, and now the scary part of his story is officially over. The super cool, awesome part is just beginning... finding his forever family!
Moose is about 30 pounds of happy, sweet, goofy puppy. He loves other dogs, good with cats, loves adventures, loves riding in the car, and is basically thrilled to be included in whatever you’re doing. And unlike many puppies, Moose has an off switch! He’s perfectly happy to lay at your feet while you work or curl up on the couch with you when the day is done. He is a major snuggle monster, and we are absolutely here for it!
One of our favorite things about Moose (besides those adorable ears) is his ability to read the room.
Young dog wants to wrestle and party? Moose is IN!
Older dog says, “Absolutely not, child”? Moose gets the hint and respectfully moves along.
He’s playful without being obnoxious, which is honestly a pretty impressive skill for a 7-month-old puppy. Moose knows how to have fun while respecting other dogs’ boundaries.
He’s also already potty trained, kennel trained, and doing well on a leash. You can tell he hasn’t spent a ton of time walking on one yet, but Moose’s general philosophy seems to be: “Oh, we’re going somewhere?! LET’S GO!” He happily trots along beside you and is always ready for the next adventure.
Moose has never met a stranger and does well with everyone he’s met, including kids. He’s also a BIG treat guy, so continued training should be pretty easy. Moose is more than willing to learn new tricks as long as the payment package includes snacks. Like all puppies, we’d love to find him a forever family who is committed to continued training and helping him grow into the very best version of himself.
We think Moose would love having a friendly dog in his forever home, but at minimum, we’d love a family who will make sure he gets plenty of opportunities to play and socialize with other pups.
Moose is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but he is available for adoption around the country. His $600 adoption fee includes the cost of transport.
