If you know Heelers, you already know Chuck is the total package smart, athletic, loyal, and just mischievous enough to keep you smiling every single day.

Chuck's story started in Texas where he was facing euthanasia at a over crowded shelter. He was lucky though because his foster family saw his please for help, and saved his life. Now this happy, thriving pup has made the long joureny up to Canada and is ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for.

At just 1 year old and weighing in at 41lbs, Chuck is everything you'd expect from a young Blue Heeler mix. He's curious, energetic, incredibly intelligent, and always ready for his next adventure. He's looking for an active home that understands the needs of his breed and is excited to help him continue growing into the amazing companion he's meant to be. Because of his rough start he can take a second to warm up to new people (including the big bad veterinarian) but once he knows you aren't going to hurt him, he is happy to be friends!

Chuck loves to stay busy or at least think he has an important job to do. Whether it's hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, exploring the neighborhood, or simply following his favorite people from room to room, he's happiest when he's included. He bonds quickly with his people and is the kind of dog who will happily become your loyal sidekick through every adventure.

As a young adult, Chuck has moved beyond the tiny puppy stage but still has plenty of playful energy. He's eager to learn, highly food motivated, and incredibly bright, making training both fun and rewarding. He'll thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and a family that enjoys working with such a smart breed.

Chuck is still learning how to walk nicely on leash and would love a family that enjoys staying active. Whether it's hiking, running, obedience, agility, or simply daily walks and interactive games, he'll shine in a home that keeps both his mind and body engaged.

Chuck is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine friends to wrestle and play with. He'd be happy to have another playful dog in his forever home, though it's not a requirement as long as he gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, and socialization. After an active day, Chuck is more than happy to curl up for snuggles with his favorite humans. We do not know how he does with cats.
