Meet MATT!
Matt is 2 months old and 5 lbs as of October 28, 2026. We think he’s a Golden/Lab/shepherd mix! This is purely based on how he looks and how her mom looks! We know who his mom is. His mom is probably 35 lbs (we do not know his dad). Given how small he is now and his mom's size, we don't expect him to be a large dog. We love little Matt’s look. He has a mini little block head (yes, it’s a compliment) and little chonky fat puppy paws!
Please note that in person Matt is even smaller than you think - the photos make him look bigger than he really is.
Matt is a sweet little puppy and is as you would expect from a puppy of his age. He is happy and just learning about the world! He loves people, pets and cuddles!
He is currently being fostered in a home with many other dogs of varying sizes (several smaller chihuahuas, a medium sized mix, and a pitbull mix) and his 2 other siblings and is great with them all!
While he hasn't been around cats in our care, we know he'd have no problem with them given her young age. This is the perfect time to do introductions!
Matt loves to cuddle with his siblings and sleeps soundly through the night.
He is a good eater too. His foster spoils him with a combination of good quality dog food mixed with homemade ingredients like boiled carrots, chicken and celery and he eats it up gleefully!
He is medically up to date and vaccinated for his age. He will be ready to go to his new home after 11/5/26.
Anyone that is interested in adopting Matt is more than welcome to do a virtual call with him and him rescuer so you can see him virtually!
**PLEASE NOTE: Matt is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin with a person to many airports including JFK, LGA, EWR, BOS, PHL, BWI, BDL, DCA, IAD, TPA, MCO, ORD and many more! The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times! Any questions about whether we can ship to, please ask!***
Please feel free to email us with any questions about him! We are a small all-volunteer rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.
Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.
In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
