Cloud - White German Shepherd Dog for Adoption

Meet NUBE!

Nube (Spanish for Cloud) is a 1-year-old, 35 pound sweetheart with a big love for life, and an even bigger love for cuddles, snuggles, and kisses! She’s a mixed-breed girl (possibly a Shepherd mix) who’s always ready for playtime, a long walk, or a little adventure with her people.

Nube’s second chance started in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, after someone abandoned her and animal control was called. When an animal control officer arrived, he met a friendly girl who wanted to play and happily let him leash her. When he learned she was facing euthanasia, he reached out to a rescuer to help keep her safe. Thanks to that officer and her rescuers, Nube received veterinary care and found a foster home where her loving personality could shine and now we are stepping in to help her find her forever home!

Nube currently lives with a four-year-old male dog, and the two enjoy playing every day. She does best with proper introductions and tends to prefer male dogs!

Her foster family describes her as intelligent, obedient, and affectionate. She goes potty outside and she can sleep in a crate, but she isn’t accustomed to spending long periods inside one especially if her foster is home. Nube also does better with another dog around.

This girl has plenty of energy to share! Nube loves running, exploring, playing, and jumping, and yes, she can jump very high! She would thrive with an active family who has time for daily exercise, playtime, and companionship. A home with a securely fenced backyard would be ideal for her.

And underneath all that athletic energy? A total cuddle bug, she seeks comfort by snuggling close to her "people". She’s looking for a family who will enjoy her playful spirit and give her the reassurance, attention, and affection she loves.

**PLEASE NOTE: Nube is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! We can arrange transport along the East Coast, starting in Miami and reaching Virginia Beach. Anyone is welcome to apply and adopt her, as long as you are willing to pick up! The process of bringing your dog over from Puerto Rico is incredibly easy, and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times!**

Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! We are a small, all-volunteer boutique rescue, and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee the breed of any dog, exact age, or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter’s home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
