DOROTHY - so cuddly - Chihuahua and Terrier Dog for Adoption

Meet DOROTHY! Dorothy is part of the Golden Girls litter!

**Dorothy is currently being fostered in Shady Side, MD and is ready for meet and greets!**

Dorothy is about 3.5 months old and 7.5 lbs as of mid-October. She is tiny and is not expected to be large at all full grown. We know she is a chihuahua mix. We know who her mother is. She is so beautiful and so cute!

Like her siblings, Dorothy is affectionate, playful, and curious! She is just a young, sweet puppy learning about the world! She is known for being the most outgoing one of the bunch. She will run up to you happily and demand pets and cuddles!

She is great with other dogs and is currently with many dogs in her foster home who vary in size and age. She gets along with all of them! Her foster mom is an independent rescuer who helps a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and so any pup that passes through her home has a great understanding of dog social dynamics and cues.

Dorothy will also be great with cats as she is just a young puppy who is ready for new experiences and friends.

House training wise, she is currently going outside and on pads, although please be prepared to continue with housetraining in your home as she's just a puppy that is learning.

HER STORY: Her foster mom took her and her siblings in after the pups' mom got pregnant at a neighbor's house.

She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and ready to find her forever home!

Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! We are a small all-volunteer rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
