Meet Maeve.
Maeve is a 5-month-old German Shepherd mix who somehow found herself sitting in a Texas shelter where the outlook was not good.
How does a happy, healthy, adorable puppy end up there?
Honestly, we have no idea.
But I wasn't about to let her find out how that story ended.
So we pulled Maeve.
And now?
This girl is headed for a much better chapter.
Maeve is everything you want in a young dog: happy, healthy, curious, fun and ready to get busy being a puppy.
She didn't arrive with some giant tragic backstory.
She simply got dealt a lousy hand.
And luckily for her, someone was standing there with a different deck of cards.
Enter NFSAW.
Maeve has already had all the boring grown-up stuff taken care of:

Microchipped
Dewormed
Heartworm negative
Healthy
READY TO HAVE SOME FUN
And let's be honest...
Look at her.
This is not a dog who came here to sit around feeling sorry for herself.
Maeve has places to go.
Things to sniff.
People to charm.
A whole world to explore.
She is at that absolutely fantastic age where she is still a puppy, but she's starting to become a real dog with a personality of her own.
She deserves a family who wants to have some fun with her.
Walks. Adventures. Training. Playing. Couch time. Probably a little mischief. And a whole lot of "Who brought home this incredibly cute dog?"
Maeve got very lucky the day someone noticed her in that Texas shelter.
Now let's make sure that luck keeps going.
She didn't need rescuing from some epic tragedy.
She just needed somebody to say:
"Not this girl. She's coming with us."
And she did.
Now she's here.
Now she's safe.
Now she gets to start living.
