Meet Violet - Not Actually Violet, But Definitely Fabulous
First things first: Violet is black.
Not purple.
Not lavender.
Not even remotely violet.
Apparently, somebody just liked the name. And honestly? It works.
Because this girl has a certain elegance about her.
Violet is one year old, sleek, glossy and absolutely gorgeous. She has that long, slinky look that makes her appear like she should be strolling through a luxury apartment in Manhattan rather than hanging out in a shelter.
But underneath all that sophistication?
She's a total character.
Violet LOVES attention, especially head scratches, cheek rubs and those wonderful little ear scratches that make a cat lean into your hand like you've just discovered the meaning of life.
She also has opinions.
For example, her tummy, tail and lower back are not public property.
And if you ignore her boundaries, she may give you a little love nibble. Not an attack. Not aggression. More like:
"Excuse me. I ordered attention."
Her foster mom learned to watch her tail because when Violet starts smacking it around, that's basically her version of a flashing neon sign that says:
"That's enough. We're good."
She's also a fabulous little player. Toy mice? Yes. Bouncy balls? Absolutely. Anything involving feathers? Now we're talking.
And then there is Violet's favorite piece of furniture:
THE TOILET.
Apparently, the toilet became her throne.
She would sit up there like a tiny black queen surveying her kingdom.
We don't know why.
We don't question royalty.
Violet was originally an only cat, but her foster home eventually introduced her to two little kittens. She wasn't exactly thrilled with the arrangement at first-which, frankly, feels pretty reasonable. Nobody asked her if she wanted roommates.
But eventually?
She started playing with them.
And her foster mom even caught her snuggled up with one of them.
So Violet can absolutely live with another cat, although she'll probably appreciate a proper introduction and a little time to decide whether she approves of the new management.
She would also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only.
Basically, Violet is beautiful, playful, affectionate, opinionated, a little quirky and completely herself.
And we wouldn't change a thing.
She's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and SNAP negative and ready to find her person.
So if you're looking for a gorgeous black cat who will love you, entertain you, occasionally remind you about personal boundaries and possibly commandeer your bathroom...
Violet would like to discuss the position.
