Molly - Chiweenie Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Molly is an OUT-OF-TOWN PET. She is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, Texas, but monthly rescue transport is available to bring her close to you. Full transport information is below.

Molly is a beautiful, brindle chiweenie. Full grown at 18 pounds, Molly is a 2 year-old pint-sized little lady. She is very smart, playful and loves playing with toys and running around in the yard. Molly craves attention and loves her foster Mom. She is a mom to six chiweenie pups and is a wonderful mother. Molly has been protective of her pups and made sure they were comfortable and safe and had food to eat, ahead of her own needs.

Molly is a sweet and independent dog. She takes a little bit of time to warm up to strangers, but morphs into a loving dog once she gets to know you. She loves to play and romp with other dogs but prefers to eat alone at a table for one. Molly will thrive with an experienced dog owner that understands her and can make her feel loved and safe.

Molly is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for a loving home where she can love her people and be loved. She is housebroken and crate trained.


GETTING MOLLY HOME

Molly is currently fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, Texas. Twilight Tails Rescue is Houston-based, with our fosters and Rescue Ranch located in and around the Houston area.

Molly can be transported close to your home on rescue transport, which travels through your area approximately once a month.

Understanding Rescue Transport

Once the adoption is approved, Molly will be scheduled for transport with AJC Rescue & Transport.

Dogs travel in scheduled air-conditioned/heated transport vans from our Rescue Ranch in Fulshear, Texas, to a designated location near their adopters.

Each transport has two drivers who alternate driving. The driver who isn't behind the wheel provides updates through a group chat, and you'll be included so you can follow Molly's journey home.

You'll receive the exact pickup location and estimated arrival time. Traffic, weather and other unexpected circumstances can sometimes affect the schedule, but you'll be kept informed of delays or early arrivals.

The dogs receive scheduled bathroom, walking and feeding breaks along the way and, for their safety, travel securely crated while the vehicle is moving.

The Chiweenie is a delightful small dog breed that is a cross between a Chihuahua and a Dachshund. Known for their affectionate and loyal nature, Chiweenies are excellent companions for singles, families, and seniors alike. These pint-sized pups typically have a playful yet independent personality, making them a charming addition to any household. With their unique appearance and loving demeanor, Chiweenies bring joy and laughter to their owners every day.
