Hey there! My name is KOBE and I'm pretty adorable...don't you think?

I'm between 5 and 6 years young (but who's counting) and am a happy, bowl half-full kind of guy.

I hear tell I'm a border terrier mix. Admittedly, I do have fabulous terrier hair. I'm superdeeduper cute and have a fun, playful energy. I'm proud to share that I've maintained my youthful shape and am a trim 18 pounds.

I arrived at the rescue about a month ago as my human could no longer keep me (or my sis). We quickly adapted to our foster home where we met and shared space with dogs of all sizes and ages- fun, fun, fun!!!

I am distinguished and have many leather-bound books. Additionally, I like walking on a leash and perching on the back of the couch by the window so I can protect my foster digs and keep watch on anybody walking in front of the house.
I'm a foodie and love a good meal, although I am not picky. Lastly, I just melt for a good belly rub.

I don't want to brag, but I've been told that I'm "all the things":
Housebroken, leash trained, dog friendly, up to date on all my shots, neutered and heartworm negative. I will thrive in most any environment but would REALLY love a house with a yard and perhaps a canine buddy.

Currently he is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Each Adoption fee is $425, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet her/them.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

The Border Terrier is a small, fearless, and affectionate breed known for their devotion to their families. With a wiry, weather resistant coat and an otter like head, they were originally bred for hunting foxes and vermin along the Scottish border. These energetic and intelligent dogs excel in various canine activities, including agility and obedience. Their friendly and playful demeanor makes them wonderful companions for active families, especially those who enjoy outdoor adventures with their loyal four legged friends.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity.
