Teacup - Pigeon Bird for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Hi there, I’m Teacup! I was found as a baby by a GLPR rehabber. Originally, I was supposed to be rehabbed and released with a flock of other pigeons when I got older, but my rescuers quickly realized that I had no interest in being returned to the wild. I had gotten a taste of the good life as a cozy house pigeon and there was just no going back.

When I was a baby, my rescuers couldn’t go anywhere without me close behind them, squeaking and flapping my wings for attention. As I’ve entered my teenage years, however, I’ve realized how uncool it is to be seen with your parents and have therefore become a little more independent. I still cause a ruckus when humans walk by my cage like I did when I was younger, but that’s because I am ready to play with people and adventure! There’s a whole world (or house) for me to see and learn about!

I will do best in a home with people who will give me plenty of opportunity to stretch my wings around the house and explore!
