Zeus may have a mighty name, but this little guy is just 12 pounds of sweetness looking for a soft place to land.

At 5.5 years old, Zeus is searching for a new home through no fault of his own. His owner has fallen on financial hardship and made the difficult decision to ask for help so Zeus can have the stability and care he deserves.

Zeus is a friendly little fellow who gets along with people, kids, other dogs, AND cats. He's ready to fit right into a family and start his next chapter.

Zeus hasn't quite mastered the house-training department yet, but with a consistent routine, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of positive reinforcement, we think he'll catch on. He's just looking for someone willing to give him the guidance and patience he needs.

At 5.5 years old, Zeus has plenty of life and love ahead of him. He doesn't need anything fancy. Just a family committed to making sure this time, forever really means forever.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
