Max is a Lab/mixed breed mix. At just about 14 months and 66 pounds, Maximus is smart, loyal, brave, and always ready for adventure. Whether he is romping around with other dogs, investigating a squeaky toy or proudly standing beside his humans, this boy is ready to transform your life.

Maximus was surrendered to Twilight Tails Rescue after being attacked by another dog, leaving his former owners unable to cover the medical bills. Maximus fought through it all with courage and heart. Now fully healed, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, he is ready for his forever family.

Maximus loves to play with both male and female dogs and has already shown he is a social, playful guy. He is deeply loyal and eager to connect with his people. He is also discovering toys and the simple joy of finally getting to just be a happy dog again. Maximus simply wants love, safety and someone to stand beside.

Maximus will be a loyal sidekick, enthusiastic hiking partner, determined couch protector and loyal best friend.

Maximus Transport:

Maximus is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Adoption fee is $350 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be pdated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
