Meet Nugget: a gentle, eleven-year-old companion weighing seventy-seven pounds, who is looking for a comfortable home to spend his retirement years.

Nugget has lived his entire life with one family who cares for him deeply, but due to an unexpected change in circumstances, they must surrender him. He is looking for an adoptive family to welcome him directly into their home.

Nugget is a sweet, social senior who loves the company of other dogs. He is a regular at doggie daycare, where he gets along beautifully with every canine companion he meets. In addition to being great with other animals, he currently lives with a toddler, showing wonderful patience, gentleness, and a calm demeanor around small children. However, Nugget requires a cat-free home, as he is not a fan of feline friends.

For an older dog, Nugget is incredibly healthy and has no existing medical conditions. He has outgrown all the chaotic energy of puppyhood and is simply a steady, loyal, and loving presence. He doesn't ask for a busy or hectic lifestyle; he just wants a soft place to sleep, a predictable routine, and a family to love. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
