Meet Mary Jane Pippa!
Mary Jane Pippa is a 2-year-old, 42-pound Standard Poodle who is beautiful, bright, and accustomed to the finer things in life. Most importantly, she has always known what it means to be deeply loved.
Originally purchased from a breeder, Mary Jane Pippa has been a cherished companion. Sadly, her owner's health declined significantly and they were admitted to hospice care, leaving this sweet girl in need of a new family through absolutely no fault of her own.
Mary Jane Pippa is a friendly, affectionate girl who does well with other dogs, cats, and children. She's social, loving, and has all the intelligence you'd expect from a Standard Poodle.
And let's discuss her preferred accommodations.
Mary Jane Pippa is accustomed to sleeping beside her person in a nice, comfy bed, and she sees absolutely no reason this arrangement should change. Dog bed on the floor? She's heard of them. She's simply unsure why anyone would choose one when perfectly good human bedding exists.
With her owner's declining health, Mary Jane Pippa's daily routine has understandably been disrupted, and her potty manners need a little refresher. She's an incredibly smart girl who previously knew the routine, so consistency, regular potty breaks, and a bit of patience should help get her back on track.
She is spayed and ready for a family who will give her the stability and love she's accustomed to.
Mary Jane Pippa isn't looking for just anywhere to land. She's looking for another person to adore, another comfy bed to occupy, and a family willing to remind her that although her life is changing, she will still be cherished.
If your home has room for a beautiful Poodle with excellent taste and a spot available on the mattress, Mary Jane Pippa would very much like to discuss the accommodations.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
