Meet SCARLET!
Scarlet is our newest rescue puppy and she is just so so adorable!
She is 3 months old and weighs 15.5 lbs as of October 26, 2026. She is expected to be 35-40 lbs full grown. We know who Scarlet's mom is and she is around this weight.
When you think of perfect puppy, Scarlet is IT. She is a happy-go-lucky little girl that lights up any room with her infectious, goofy personality! Her foster calls her "Little Miss Sunshine"! She is an energetic puppy and doesn't have a "bad bone" in her little body!
Scarlet loves other dogs. She's currently being fostered in a home with several other dogs of various sizes and loves them all. She would play all day with her canine friends if she could :)
She is currently being fostered in a home with men and women and is equally friendly with everyone in the household. She is incredibly affectionate, even at first introduction with new people. She doesn't have any fear of new people; she just wants to kiss them!
Scarlet is currently living with a blind older cat as well and does well with her. She is gentle. This cat does not have free roam of the house given that she is blind but during the times that the kitty has interacted with Scarlet in the home, Scarlet has been nothing but nice. We think she would be fine with cats in the home.
Scarlet is incredibly cuddly and loves to play with her humans too and of course her numerous toys. Her favorite toys right now are squeaky and chew toys.
She does very well on a leash as well and her fosters have worked on leash training. She is currently using a harness and amusingly, she seems to try to put the harness on herself when it comes out. She loves going for walks!
House training-wise, she is doing her business outside and she is consistently good about it! She is not using pads at the moment as her fosters really want to her to do her business solely outside. She is excellent in her crate as well and almost never has an accident.
She loves to eat and doesn't have any food/resource guarding. She happily eats next to other dogs and isn't known to steal other dogs' food either.
On average, Scarlet is left alone around 4 hours a day and she does very well. She is crated during this time and does not exhibit any separation anxiety in the crate when her humans are out.
At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate!
Basically, SHE'S PERFECT!
Anyone that is interested in adopting Scarlet is more than welcome to do a virtual call with her and her rescuer, if requested, so you can see her virtually!
She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, is fecal negative, and is ready to find her forever home!
**PLEASE NOTE: Scarlet is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin with a person to many airports including JFK, LGA, EWR, BOS, PHL, BWI, BDL, DCA, IAD, TPA, MCO, ORD and many more! We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.
Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.
In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
