Rookie - Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in Louisville, Kentucky

Rookie is a 4 year old male, 100ish lb, very handsome Golden Retriever, whose people say he is all but perfect. We are told: "We are a military family that unexpectedly found out we are having another child. We will be moving soon and do not have the means to bring our dogs with us, and we are extremely overwhelmed trying to give Rookie the attention and love he deserves."

He is house-trained and crate-trained and we are told: "He is in his crate on a daily basis, anytime the dogs cannot be directly supervised they are in the cage. They also sleep in their crate and do not whine or bark when they're in there either. (unless someone knocks at the door). Rookie is the sweetest and most loving golden. He is amazing with our one year old girl. He is very patient with her. He needs someone who is available to give him lots of love and attention. He is extremely tolerable to anything you ask him to do even if he doesn't enjoy it (baths for example) and he loves to explore and roam outside and sniff around. Rookie gets along with anyone and any pets."

We are told that Rookie was born with cataracts, and his owner says he has never experienced any issues related to condition. Can walk, play, run, find things just fine.
