Katie #7140 - Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in Louisville, Kentucky

Introducing Katie! She is a sweet and gentle senior (7.5 years old) Golden Retriever weighing about 99 lbs (she needs to lose a few lbs) who is an absolute expert at the indoor life. Katie is friendly, curious, and remarkably relaxed—a truly delightful soul who brings a sense of calm wherever she goes. She is also an amazing roommate; having lived happily alongside a Lab, a Beagle, and a Jack Russell Terrier, she knows exactly how to get along with a pack. With that, we think she needs to have a home with another dog or a family who will take her everywhere to see other dogs and stay socialized. Katie is ready to bring her serene energy and loving heart to her next chapter!

Our GRRAND volunteer tells us: "Katie is a beautiful, calm, and sweet golden girl. Katie came to us from a shelter when her owner died andthey reached out to GRRAND. Katie has lived with three other dogs of various breed types. She was raised as an indoor dog. Katie has the best calm, laidback, friendly demeanor. Katie will need daily excercise to help work off extra weight. She is house-trained and walks well on a lead. Katie rode in the back of my CRV to my home and rode very quietly. Now we are enjoying the cool breeze and green grass. I think Katie needs another dog or dogs in her next home."
