Meet Elliot!

Elliot is an adorable 2 year old Dachshund mix weighing just 13 pounds, and we cannot say enough good things about this sweet little boy! He’s gentle, affectionate, playful, and has one of those wonderful temperaments that makes him so easy to fall in love with. He’s truly just a good, good dog!

Elliot was originally found as a stray and ended up in a shelter before making his way into our care. Despite his uncertain past, he has been nothing but an absolute sweetheart. He can be a little shy when first meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up. Before you know it, he’s rolling right onto his back, belly up, asking for some love! He absolutely adores cuddling and being close to his people, and he’s been wonderful with the children he’s met.

Elliot is also fantastic with other dogs, both big and small! He’s playful and enjoys having canine friends, but he’s definitely more on the submissive side and has such a gentle, easygoing nature. He would absolutely love having another friendly, playful dog in his forever home, although it isn’t a requirement. He’d be just as happy being someone’s one and only as long as he gets plenty of attention, engagement, and opportunities to play.

This little guy has some wonderful manners, too! Elliot is doing great with both house training and crate training and sleeps nicely in his crate at night. He’s also a great passenger in the car, making him an easy little companion to bring along for outings and adventures. He’s the perfect combination of playful and cuddly — happy to have some fun, but equally happy to curl up beside you and soak up all the affection.

Elliot is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will have his health certificate prior to adoption. He’s sweet, social, gentle, loving, and just an all-around wonderful little dog. We have a feeling whoever adopts Elliot is going to wonder how they ever lived without him. This special boy deserves a forever family who will love him just as much as he’ll love them!
