Meet Duke!

Duke is an adorable 5 month old Chihuahua mix weighing just around 5 pounds! This tiny little guy still has some growing to do, but based on his age and current size, we expect him to stay under 10 pounds full grown. Of course, with rescue puppies we can never guarantee adult size or breed but we can confidently say he’s going to remain one pretty little pup!

Duke has been raised in foster care and has done wonderfully. He’s a total sweetheart with a fun, playful puppy personality. He loves toys, bones, chewing on all his puppy approved goodies, and especially loves playing with other dogs. He’s done great with dogs both big and small and is even good with cats! Another playful, smaller sized dog in his forever home could be a really fun companion for him, although it isn’t a requirement.

He’s an outgoing, friendly little guy once he’s comfortable. Duke can be a tiny bit shy when first meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and show you his sweet, playful side. Once he does, he’s ready to make friends, play, and soak up all the love!

Like any puppy his age, Duke is still learning the basics. He’s working hard on house training and crate training, and his forever family will need to continue providing the consistency, patience, and routine that will help him succeed. He’s a smart little guy who has had a wonderful start in foster care, and now he just needs someone committed to continuing it.

Duke will be neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and will have his health certificate prior to adoption. He’s tiny, sweet, playful, social, and just an all around good little boy.
