Meet Mama June – A Sweet, Gentle Soul Ready for Her Forever Home!

Meet June, an adorable 18-pound likely 3yr Dachshund, Chihuahua, and possibly Beagle mix with the sweetest personality and so much love to give!

June came to us under heartbreaking circumstances after giving birth to seven beautiful puppies in a filthy backyard, where she had been living underneath a shed. Despite her rough start, she was an incredible mama who devoted herself to raising her babies. Now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s cherished companion!

June is a gentle, sensitive girl who can be reserved and shy when meeting new people. She needs a little patience and time to build trust, but once she feels safe, her adorable personality comes shining through! She becomes a happy, wiggly, affectionate little lovebug who enjoys cuddling and being close to her people.

She’s truly blossoming more every day, and watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding.

June gets along wonderfully with both large and small dogs and would likely thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes. She’s also good with children and would likely do well with cats following proper introductions.

She’s making excellent progress with house training and continues to learn and adjust to life in a loving home. She’s a smart, sweet girl who will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and encouragement.

June’s ideal family will understand that shy dogs sometimes need a little extra time to settle in. A patient, loving household that allows her to build confidence at her own pace would be perfect. We especially think she would enjoy having a canine sibling, although the right committed family is ultimately what matters most.

Her sister was adopted quickly and has proven to be a fantastic companion, and we know June has that same wonderful potential. She simply needs someone willing to give her a chance.
