Meet Lana – A Beautiful Fawn-Colored Girl With Soulful Eyes and a Heart Full of Love!

If you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate, easygoing companion who is equal parts beauty and brains, meet Lana!

Lana is an approximately 2-year-old, 55-pound Pit Bull Terrier, possibly mixed with Labrador Retriever, with the most stunning fawn-colored coat and beautiful eyes to match. She’s truly a head-turner, but her wonderful personality is what makes her so special!

Lana came to Underdog Animal Rescue from Contra Costa Animal Services after being surrendered to the shelter along with another dog from her previous home. Thankfully, we were able to rescue both girls and give them the second chance they deserved.

While we don’t know everything about Lana’s past, we do know that she’s incredibly resilient. Since arriving in foster care, she’s been blossoming more and more every single day, showing us what a fantastic companion she has the potential to become.

What Makes Lana So Special?

Lana is one of those dogs who seems to have a little bit of everything going for her!

She’s smart, affectionate, eager to please, and wonderfully easygoing. She enjoys being around her people, loves attention, and is quickly learning the routines of living in a home.

She’s the kind of dog who would happily join you for a walk, an outdoor adventure, or a relaxing evening on the couch. Lana has the potential to be an amazing active companion for someone who enjoys including their dog in everyday life.

One of the best things about Lana is her versatility when it comes to her future home.

She currently lives with other dogs and cats and is doing wonderfully! She could absolutely be a second dog in a home with a compatible canine companion, but she’d also be perfectly happy being someone’s one and only princess. After all, more attention for Lana isn’t exactly a bad thing!

With her sweet, easygoing personality, we also believe she could do beautifully in a family with children, provided introductions are thoughtful and interactions are appropriately supervised.

Lana is also making fantastic progress with house training and crate training. She’s intelligent, responsive, and eager to learn, making her a wonderful candidate for continued positive reinforcement training.

She would do well with another friendly, compatible dog, but she doesn’t need a canine sibling to be happy. Lana is perfectly capable of soaking up all the love and attention herself!
