Ziggy is an absolutely adorable 5-month-old, long-haired Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a whole lot of personality packed into her little 7-pound body. We estimate she’ll be around 12 pounds full grown, making her the perfect pint-sized adventure buddy!

This beautiful girl found herself at a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. Thankfully, those days are behind her, and she is now absolutely thriving in foster care!

Ziggy is everything you could want in a fun-loving puppy. She is social, confident, playful, outgoing, and FULL of energy! She loves other dogs, enjoys being part of the action, and has a zest for life that is downright contagious. She’s the kind of puppy who can turn an ordinary day into an adventure.

But don’t let her adorable face and tiny size fool you. Ziggy is still very much a puppy, and she has plenty to learn! She hasn’t had basic training yet, so her forever family needs to be ready to invest the time, patience, and consistency it takes to raise a well-mannered, confident adult dog.

We are looking for a family committed to positive reinforcement training, daily exercise, continued socialization, and plenty of enrichment. Ziggy is smart, busy, and eager to experience the world, and she deserves a family who will embrace all that puppy energy rather than expect her to be a little lap dog all day.

Her dream home would have a secure yard where she can run, explore, and play, ideally with another friendly, playful dog to keep her company. She could also thrive with an active, social family who enjoys getting out, going on adventures, and making their dog part of everyday life.

Ziggy may be little, but she has a BIG life ahead of her. She’s looking for someone who will love her spunky personality, guide her through puppyhood, and give her every opportunity to become the amazing companion we know she can be.
