Meet Tessa! Your New Best Friend Is Waiting!

Tessa is an approximately 3-year-old sweetheart with a happy-go-lucky personality and a whole lot of love to give! She will be arriving October 3rd, thanks to our rescue partners, and we can't wait for her to begin the next chapter of her life.

Tessa was dumped with several other dogs. Some have already found rescue or loving homes, and after Tessa leaves, one of the dogs will remain in boarding care. Through it all, Tessa has remained the sweetest, most cheerful girl — and now it's her turn to find the family she deserves.

Tessa truly loves everyone and everything she meets. She has a medium energy level — playful and ready for some fun, but not overly hyper. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog who can enjoy an adventure and then happily settle in with her people.

And Tessa is a social butterfly! She has been tested with dogs, cats, and kids and has done well with all of them. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and ages and has been around everyone from tiny Chihuahuas to Great Danes, and puppies all the way to seniors. Tessa seems to think everyone is a potential friend!

She is crate trained, although we don't yet know if she is fully house trained. Her new family can continue helping her learn and settle into a routine.

Tessa has also been through a lot medically. She began heartworm treatment on June 5th, received her injections throughout July and August, and has successfully completed the required crate-rest period following treatment. She has now cleared her recovery period and is ready for her next adventure!

Now all Tessa needs is a family to show her that being abandoned was not the end of her story — it was the beginning of her journey to something wonderful.
