Meet Luna!

Luna is a beautiful 2.5-year-old female weighing approximately 40–50 lbs who is looking for a home of her own.

Luna was originally dropped off at a local farm. Over the past four months, her foster has gotten to know her and has discovered that while Luna is wonderful with people, she has a very strong prey drive and is not suited to a home with livestock or small animals.

Luna is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. She is affectionate with people and has not shown any aggression toward humans while in care. She loves spending time with her people and can be a sweet, playful companion.

With other dogs: Luna has shown that she can play beautifully with other dogs outside, but once indoors she can become very dominant, particularly with female dogs. Her future home will need to take this history very seriously. A home where she can be the only dog may be the best fit.

With cats & small animals: Luna has lived around a cat and her kittens without any concerns, but she does like to chase. Because of her extremely strong prey drive, she should not live with rabbits, livestock, or other small animals.

Luna is looking for an experienced home that understands her prey drive, can provide structure and supervision, and can keep her safely away from animals that trigger her instincts.
