Dexter has already been through more than any dog should have to endure. At one point in his life, he was thrown over a fence and left behind. Thankfully, that chapter is now in his past. Dexter is safe, loved, and finally getting to experience the happy life he always deserved.

Rescued alongside his buddy Joker, Dexter is having an absolute blast in foster care. He is a fun-loving, playful little guy who is quickly discovering just how wonderful life can be when you are surrounded by people who care about you.

Dexter is doing well with house training and crate training and loves spending time with other dogs. He is also good with cats and kids, making him a wonderfully social little guy who is happy to be part of the action.

But more than anything, Dexter just wants to be loved. He is soaking up all the affection he can get and is learning that people can be kind, gentle, and safe. His playful personality is shining through more and more every day, and his foster family is already enjoying all of his silly little antics.

Dexter deserves a family who will continue to show him how wonderful life can be — a family who will give him patience, affection, guidance, and a forever place to call home.

His past may be part of his story, but it does not define him. Dexter is now a happy boy with a bright future ahead of him, and we can't wait to see him get the forever family he has always deserved.
