Meet Tammie!

Tammie is arriving from one of our rescue partners on October 3rd!

Tammie is a sweet 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing approximately 26 lbs. She was found abandoned on the streets, along with her mom, Sammie, and her siblings.

Tammie is a very shy and reserved girl, but underneath that cautious exterior is a loving, gentle pup who is looking for someone willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and confident. She is especially attached to her mom, Sammie, and finds comfort in her presence.

Once she feels comfortable, Tammie loves to run and play with other dogs and has been tested with dogs and does well with them. She has a medium energy level and would enjoy having a canine companion to help her come out of her shell.

Tammie is crate trained, but her house training is currently unknown. Because she is so shy, she can be a flight risk and will need a secure environment and extra care when being outside or in unfamiliar places. She has never shown aggression or reactivity — she simply needs time, patience, and reassurance to build her confidence.

Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
