Meet #DREAM

Dream would like everyone to know that she has officially retired from her previous career of wandering the streets with absolutely no address, no emergency contact, and apparently NO PLAN.
Ma’am.
Dream is a young, long-legged Lab mix , 40ish lbs.. who somehow found herself out there navigating life on her own. We don’t know where she came from or what her story was before she landed at The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, but we DO know this:
This girl is NICE.
Like... suspiciously nice for someone who was previously living a life of street crime.
She’s got legs for DAYS.
She’s sweet.
She listens beautifully to the volunteers.
She sits when asked like, “Obviously.
I have manners.
I was homeless, not raised in a barn.”
And she gets leashed up really well, which is always a wonderful little surprise when you’re dealing with a former woman of the streets.
Dream originally started out on the other side of the shelter, but she recently received her promotion and moved over with the BIG GIRLS AND BIG BOYS.
So far, she has not reacted to the dogs around her, which is a great start!
Of course, if you already have a resident dog, we’ll do a proper meet and greet to make sure everyone is comfortable and see if Dream really is the girl of your dreams.
Because listen... we don’t want Dream getting TOO comfortable around here.
Her next promotion needs to be:
HOMEOWNER.
COUCH OCCUPANT.
FULL-TIME TREAT RECIPIENT.
SOMEBODY’S BABY.
She already survived her “living on the streets with no forwarding address” era.
Now she’s ready for her spoiled Lab-girl era.
