DESCRIPTION
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 14th, 2026 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm!
Meet Carlisle, affectionately known as Bassinet! This adorable 4-month-old Basset Hound mix weighs about 11 pounds and is a little bundle of love with a whole lot of puppy charm.
Carlisle is a social little guy who loves playing with his furry friends and toys. He's fostered with small and medium-sized dogs and gets along wonderfully with them. He also absolutely adores his humans and is always ready to share some love and affection.
Like any typical puppy, Carlisle is still learning the ropes. He'll need a family willing to help him with crate training, house training, and leash walking as he grows. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, he's sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
If you're looking for a sweet, loving puppy to fill your home with cuddles, laughter, and puppy kisses, Carlisle might just be your perfect match!
Carlisle is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
ABOUT: BASSET HOUND DOG BREED
The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
