Devaney - Pointer and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Cincinnati, Ohio

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 14th, 2026 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm!

Meet Devaney! Devaney is a 5 year old, 35 pound German Shorthaired Pointer Mix. Devaney came into rescue with a litter of 8 pups, all of which she successfully raised and watched get adopted - and now it's her turn!

Devaney is a sweet girl with the cutest butt wiggles you could ever hope to see! She is fostered with other dogs, kittens and kids and likes everyone she has met so far. She can get a little nervous with new people, but once she realizes she can trust you, she is your instant bestie.

Devaney does well in a crate. She is working on perfecting her potty training. Her foster family knows that with a consistent routine, she will do very well. Devaney loves to be outside in the yard and would do best in a home with a fenced in yard for her to relax in. She does very well on a leash and would love regular walks in with her forever family!

This sweet girl has done such a great job raising her puppies - now it's her turn to find her forever! If you are interested in adding Devaney to your family - apply today! Her adoption fee is $275.

"To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The Pointer is a versatile and athletic dog breed known for its exceptional hunting skills and high energy levels. With a strong, sleek build and keen sense of smell, Pointers excel in bird hunting, especially in open fields. They are intelligent, eager to please, and make fantastic companions for active individuals or families who enjoy spending time outdoors. Their short coat requires minimal grooming, and their friendly nature and loyal temperament make them beloved members of the family.

VISION To help rescue more animals, more quickly, by working in a positive, professional and collaborative way with our community....
