Do you want a young dog with a promising future in entertainment? Then let me introduce you to Mr. Booker DeWitt!
Booker DeWitt is a 1-year-old, 24lbs, Terrier Mix looking for his future family! Booker's sense of adventure and vigor is boundless. He is ready to go on walks, play in the backyard with the family, and explore all that the local parks in your area. Booker likes to meet new people and has yet to meet a stranger he doesn't like. He gets along with all the dogs, cats, and humans he has met. He is always ready to go and down to play!
Booker is doing well with potty-training, crate training, and leash training. He isn't considered fully trained on any of these aspects, but he is eager to learn and try out new things. Special treats during crate time have made crate training a breeze, consistent trips outside for potty breaks have resulted in great housetraining potential, and while easily distracted on the leash, he is not a puller and does very well in terms of pacing and directions! Booker also loves toys, and specifically loves stuffed animal toys. He is known to cuddle toys when going to sleep (and then taking out all the fluff in the morning, but still...). Booker is learning to play fetch, but he also likes sticks and tennis balls enough too. Overall, Booker is a happy, go lucky guy who is excited at the chance of being a part of your family! With some training classes and consistently, Booker will be the ideal dog in no time!
If you have been looking for a sweet boy with a heart of gold and a sense of adventure, than look no further. Consider adopting Booker today!
Booker is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $400.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
