DESCRIPTION
Hades is a handsome 3-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who arrived at the HSOV on May 4, 2026 and (sadly) was most likely surrendered by his owner.
This big fellow has a black/dark brown shorthaired coat with a large patch of white on his chest, rather short legs, a long tail, and an adorable wrinkled face with dark brown eyes, a chocolate brown nose, a chubby muzzle, and large floppy ears. Hades has a nice smile and great facial expressions.
These photos of Hades were taken on the afternoon of May 8th 2026 when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn and HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers helped Hades with pictures for his Petfinder/Facebook debut. Hades actually seemed to enjoy being the center of attention and quickly 'got with the program' and showed us that he was a natural for the camera lens (smile).
Like many dogs who are in the photo area for pictures, Hades was very interested when he saw a car pulling into the shelter parking area and carefully watched as the car doors opened and people stepped out .. As though he thought perhaps his owner was coming to take him home?
Hades hadn't stepped on the scales for an official weigh-in, but we'd estimate he might weigh close to 70 lbs since he has muscular rather stocky physique.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Hades was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
