DESCRIPTION
Sleepy is an adorable male Terrier mix puppy who arrived at HSOV on April 13, 2026 along with his six siblings (Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy and Sneezy). They were surrendered by their owner since the family was unable to take care of these 'magnificent seven' Terrier mix puppies. Sleepy and his littermates were estimated to have been 3-months old at that time.
Sleepy has a black-and-white shorthaired coat, white front legs/paws, white back paws, a long tail, and a super cute symmetrically-marked black/white puppy face with black 'sideburns' on each side of his face, a wide white stripe on his forehead, a white muzzle, a black button nose, and large black semi-erect/horizontal ears.
This little guy (and his siblings) are good with other dogs and also with children.
Sleepy was given first vaccines on April 13, 2026. He weighed 17.5 lbs that day. Sleepy was given booster vaccines on April 27, 2026.
Sleepy and his brothers/sisters had their 'big boy/big girl' photo sessions on May 2nd 2026 so that we could introduce them to potential adopters. Photos of the seven dwarfs would not have been complete without Snow White, so HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers saved the day by stepping in for Snow White and assisting each of the puppies with their pictures.
The puppies are super cute, and they were quick to give Amy super-sweet puppy kisses. They were a bit distracted by many of the outdoor shelter mascot kitties and were not accustomed to the concept of walking-on-a-leash .. So the photo session was entertaining as well as challenging.
The puppies will be spayed/neutered before being officially adopted but they can be fostered-to-adopt while they await those procedures with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
