DESCRIPTION

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Although they came from different areas, while in foster care, Coco and Jennie developed a connection that cannot not be broken. They must be adopted together.

Jennie is a beautiful gray, orange, and brown shorthaired torbie with a gentle heart and a little bit of a cautious streak. Bonded to her bestie, Coco, these two may have come into foster care together, but they could not be more different. While Coco is ready to make friends with everyone he meets, Jennie prefers to take her time and make sure she knows exactly who she is dealing with before she lets her guard down.

When Jennie first meets someone new, she can be quite shy. She may run off to find a safe hiding spot or let out the occasional little hiss to make it very clear that she would prefer some personal space. Don't let her fool you, though, her hiss is very much bark and no bite! Jennie is a sweet girl who simply needs a little extra time to feel comfortable and learn that she is safe.

The secret to Jennie's heart? Food and playtime. These two things have been the quickest way to bring her out of her shell. Put out a tasty treat or bring out a favourite toy, and suddenly that cautious little girl starts to forget her worries. Once Jennie settles in, her sweet personality really begins to shine. She loves getting her rubs and will happily soak up affection from the people she trusts. It just takes her a little longer to get to the point where she is ready to ask for them.

Jennie is also a playful girl who loves having a furry friend around. Her bond with Coco is particularly special. Coco is the confident social butterfly of the pair, he has helped Jennie learn that life is not so scary. They love to chase, wrestle, and play together, and Coco's outgoing personality has given Jennie the confidence to come out of her shell and join the fun.

Jennie would do best in a patient home that understands that trust is earned, not rushed. She may not be the kitten who runs straight into your arms on day one, but once she decides you are her person, you will see just how sweet and affectionate she can be. A little patience, plenty of playtime, and a few delicious treats are all you need to start winning her heart.

If you are looking for a gentle girl whose love story unfolds a little more slowly, Jennie may be your perfect match. Give her the time and patience she needs, and you will be rewarded with a sweet companion who is ready to show you just how much love she has to give. Jennie and her confident brother Coco would love nothing more than to continue their journey together, with you to guide the way.

Would you like to make Jennie & Coco a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
