Alexi - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Vaughan, Ontario

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Alexi MUST have a playmate in his forever home. Fortunately, he has many siblings to choose from!

Pixie, Dixie, Nixie and Alexi came from a barn in rural central Ontario. They were rescued when they were about 7 weeks old, and in foster care ever since.

Alexi is unique in that he is a licker and would happily groom any exposed body parts if given the chance. His defensive maneuver is to flop over so you cannot possibly ignore him, and will automatically reach down to apply belly rubs, his favourite! Although he is a bit of a scaredy cat to start with, once he gets over his fear, Alexi absolutely loves attention. Don't be surprised if he climbs up your pants leg to get pets! He may be initially shy, but he knows exactly what he wants and determined to get it however he can!

In keeping with his reserved instincts, Alexi likes to crawl under blankets to play and nap, if a lap is not available for him to flop on. He adores Temptations treats, and making friends with such bribes is an easy strategy. Alexi gets along well with older cats, and sees them as his substitute momma, even if they are males! He has been in the presence of the dog, and as long as she stays quiet and non-threatening, Alexi can pretend she is not really there and just hang out at a safe distance.

Alexi is a sweet and shy kitty who just needs a bit more reassurance and attention to truly blossom in confidence. He would welcome any of his siblings, or other affable cat companion who can be his substitute momma or poppa. But most importantly, Alexi must have his own people to love and lick.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
