Oreo (bonded with Bubbles) - Tuxedo and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Vaughan, Ontario

***Oreo is Bubbles dad despite their different coat colours and markings. They have been together all their lives, and although both are quite independent, they are content with each other's company and should remain so in their forever home.

Oreo and Bubbles were originally given to the owner's friend to care for them temporarily while they deal with family matters. However, the owner then moved out of country without informing the friend and was not coming back for the cats. The well-intentioned friend could not keep the boys because of financial and housing challenges.

Oreo, however obvious his name's association may be, fits his name perfectly. He is a sweet, yummy tuxedo boy you can happily indulge in loving anytime with absolutely no guilt! Oreo has the cutest little meow when he wants more attention, and it's impossible not to give in to his open and eager gaze. He can be petted and brushed for as long as you wish, and purrs in appreciation for all the love. If you seek a constant shadow who trails after you so he can be part of the action at all times, Oreo is your guy!

Other than pursuing his people for as much attention as possible, Oreo is a rather sedentary cat not particularly given to zoomies nor interested in playtime. Maybe his toy/game of choice is still a mystery to be uncovered. He doesn't scratch furniture and is a clean and tidy cat. Even with the huge change of his recent move, Oreo is still affectionate and curious about all the different people who come to visit, and greets everyone as if he's known them all of his life. Stranger is not a concept Oreo understands.

Oreo does like to chew on plants, so cat or wheat grass may be a good substitute rather than houseplants that may be toxic to cats. He gets along nicely with Bubbles, and has obviously passed on his independent spirit along with amicable genes to his son, and the two coexist peacefully.

Oreo and Bubbles are super cuddly and incredibly sweet, affectionate cats any family could love. Once they've a chance to settle down and marked their people with their scents, the serious loving can begin.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
