Percy - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Fort Worth, Texas

From his foster mom, Amanda:

Percy is a sweet, playful little guy with a gentle personality and a goofy side that comes out once he feels comfortable.

He's a little shy when meeting new people, but he's making wonderful progress learning to trust humans and enjoy life as an indoor kitty. Percy likes being near people and enjoys affection, although he also appreciates having some time to himself. I think with a little more patience and encouragement, he could eventually become a wonderful lap cat.

One of my favorite things about Percy is watching him play with his brother, Stevie. Percy loves to stalk him, carefully tracking his movements before suddenly jumping a foot into the air and pouncing on him! He's still very much a kitten, with plenty of energy for playing and exploring.

Percy and Stevie have quite a story. They were living outside near a pottery studio off Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth, along with their feral mama and several other stray cats. Stevie was the more outgoing brother, while Percy was a little more cautious, but they were the friendliest kittens in the group. I worked with the studio manager to trap both boys and bring them into foster care.

Since then, I've watched Percy make so much progress. He's still learning that people can be trusted and that being a house cat is actually a pretty good life. He just needs someone willing to give him the time to figure things out.

His brother Stevie is also available for adoption! They aren't bonded, but they're best friends and love playing together. If you're looking to adopt two kittens, they'd make a great pair. Percy would also enjoy having another friendly cat in his new home to play with and help him feel comfortable.

Once Percy gets comfortable, you'll discover a sweet, funny, playful kitten who has so much to offer. And if you happen to adopt Stevie too, you'll have a front-row seat to some pretty entertaining brotherly wrestling matches!

At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They’re not waiting to become housecats... they already are. They just need a house.

This kitten has not received booster shots yet but is available as Foster2Adopt. You adopt and take the kitten home with you, and we pay for and arrange for booster shots later.

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
