Francine is the kind of cat who makes herself at home without needing to take over the whole house.

She's a calm, confident girl who loves people and enjoys being part of the family. She likes affection and spending time with her humans, but she's also perfectly content simply hanging out nearby. Francine doesn't need to be attached to you every second to enjoy your company. Sometimes just being in the same room is enough.

And there's something especially nice about a cat who arrives with that kind of confidence. Francine doesn't need a long courtship before deciding humans are pretty great. She's friendly, relaxed, and comfortable letting her sweet personality show.

Francine also does well with cats, dogs, and children of all ages, which could make her a wonderful fit for many different kinds of families. There is just one important Francine rule when it comes to other animals:

Don't rush the introductions.

Francine needs a slow, proper introduction to new furry roommates. She may hiss at first while she's figuring out who this stranger is and why they're in her house. Give her the time and space she needs rather than forcing the friendship, and she does well with both cats and dogs.

With people, though, Francine is much less complicated. She loves everyone, enjoys attention, and has that wonderful balance of affection and independence that makes her an easy cat to share your life with.

She'd be equally happy keeping you company while you relax on the couch, hanging out nearby while you work, or wandering off for a little Francine time before coming back to see what you're doing.

Francine may not have an outrageous quirk or a dramatic gimmick.

What she has is something a lot of adopters are looking for: A sweet, confident, calm companion who simply wants to be part of a family.
