From his foster mom, Heather:
Some cats like their people.
Squirt would prefer to be physically attached to his.
This ridiculously affectionate boy isn't satisfied simply knowing you're somewhere in the house. He wants to be with you, beside you, in your lap, or, best of all, perched right on your shoulder. If you've ever wanted a tiny feline sidekick who follows you through life, Squirt may have been waiting for you.
And you'll rarely have to wonder whether he's happy about it. Squirt is an absolute purr machine. He loves being held, loves attention, loves people, and seems to approach life with the assumption that everyone he meets is a potential new friend.
But don't mistake all that cuddling for laziness. Squirt is extra playful and high energy, and once he's off your shoulder, he's ready for action. Because he has so much playful energy and genuinely enjoys other cats, Squirt needs another playful feline friend in his forever home. He isn't bonded to a particular cat, so he's just looking for a buddy who will appreciate having an enthusiastic partner for playing, wrestling, and general cat shenanigans.
Squirt's road to his forever home hasn't been entirely easy. He was surrendered after suffering a broken leg. The wonderful news is that his leg is now healed and he's ready for adoption!
You may notice that Squirt turns that back leg outward just a little. It's a leftover quirk from his old injury, but he doesn't limp and it doesn't interfere with his activities. As far as Squirt is concerned, there are toys to chase, cats to play with, people to climb on, and absolutely no reason to slow down.
Squirt is good with other cats and with children of all ages. We don't know yet how he feels about dogs, so we can't promise he'd enjoy having a canine roommate.
His ideal adopter is someone who doesn't merely tolerate an affectionate cat but really wants one. Squirt is looking for the kind of person who thinks having a cat in their lap is wonderful and having that same cat climb onto their shoulder is even better.
After everything he's been through, Squirt is healed, happy, playful, and ready to begin the good part of his story.

At Meowtown, we don't have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They're not waiting to become housecats... they already are. They just need a house.
