Walter 7 - Yellow Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Killingworth, Connecticut

HOW TO ADOPT: The fastest way to start is to submit an adoption application directly (labs4rescue.com/adopt). Please use our official website rather than the Petfinder "Start your Inquiry" button.

Walter #7 is a handsome young yellow Lab who will celebrate his first birthday on October 31st and weighs 53 pounds. He is a sibling to Damon and Trevi, and this sweet boy is ready to trade his old life for everything a young Lab deserves.

Walter is still new to us, so we are learning about him as we go. What we do know is that he is a beautiful young dog with his entire life ahead of him. At not quite a year old, Walter is still very much a youngster and will need a family willing to give him the time, patience, exercise, and continued training that will help him become the wonderful family companion we know he can be.

There are still so many things Walter hasn’t told us about himself. Will he be a swimmer? A ball fanatic? A hiking buddy? Or maybe he’ll decide that sprawling across the sofa with his people is his favorite activity of all. His new family will get the fun of discovering all those things right along with him.

At 53 pounds, Walter is a great size, although he may still have a little growing and filling out to do.

Walter’s first birthday is coming up on Halloween. Instead of tricks or treats, we think this boy deserves something much better: A family to call his own.
