Stella 23 - Yellow Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in Killingworth, Connecticut

HOW TO ADOPT: The fastest way to start is to submit an adoption application directly (labs4rescue.com/adopt). Please use our official website rather than the Petfinder "Start your Inquiry" button.

Stella #23 is an absolutely beautiful 7-month-old Lab/Golden Retriever mix weighing just 32.3 pounds. With that soft golden coat and those soulful eyes, she is pretty hard to resist!

Stella has spent her young life living around a pack of dogs, so she is good with other dogs and very comfortable in their company. What she hasn’t had is the opportunity to experience much of the world beyond what she already knows.

At just seven months old, Stella is still very much a puppy, but she is starting a little behind when it comes to socialization and everyday life experiences. Living in a home, walking nicely on a leash, meeting new people, hearing unfamiliar sounds, going for car rides, and learning basic manners may all be new adventures for her.

The wonderful thing is that Stella is young and has her whole life ahead of her. With a patient family willing to give her time, guidance, structure, and lots of positive experiences, we think this sweet girl is going to blossom.

Because Stella has always had other dogs around her, a friendly, confident canine companion could be a wonderful role model and help show her that this big new world isn’t so scary after all.

Stella isn’t looking for someone who expects a perfectly trained dog on day one. She’s looking for someone who will enjoy showing her how wonderful life as a beloved family dog can be.

At only seven months old, Stella’s story is really just beginning. Now she needs the family who will help her write the best part.
