Meet Jade #12, a beautiful 9-year-old, 60-pound chocolate Labrador mix who is just as sweet as she can be!

Jade spent her entire life with the same family, but when her family went through a divorce, she remained with her dad. Although he loved her very much, life became busy and he realized he simply wasn’t able to give Jade the time and attention she deserves. Now this lovely girl is looking for a new beginning and a family to call her own.

Don’t let Jade’s age fool you — this girl still has plenty of spunk! She would be a wonderful companion for an active person or family who enjoys walks, playtime, and spending time together. A fenced yard would be wonderful for Jade, giving her the freedom to run, explore, play, and simply enjoy being a dog.

Jade enjoys her walks, although she does pull a little on leash and could use a refresher on her leash manners. She is fine with other dogs, but she can be a bit exuberant when first meeting a new canine friend — she’s simply excited to say hello!

Jade does have a history of seizures and takes medication to manage them. Her adopter will need to be comfortable continuing her medication and veterinary care.

Most of all, Jade is an incredibly sweet girl who has spent her whole life knowing what it means to be part of a family. At 9 years young, she still has plenty of love, companionship, playtime, and happy adventures ahead of her.
