Sweet Sunny is only about two years old, and while her story didnt begin the way every dog deserves, were determined to help her write a much happier ending.
When our Humane Division responded to a complaint, Sunny was found tied behind a garage with no water or shelter during dangerous heat. Thankfully, she is now safe here at the shelter and this is where her new journey begins.
Right now, Sunny is understandably scared and a little confused.
Everything is new, and shes taking it all in one step at a time.
The volunteers have been giving her plenty of patience, gentle encouragement, and lots of love.

Today she even took a little dip in the pool in our Photo Booth play yard, a small moment that made all of us smile.
Were not rushing her. Were letting Sunny learn that people can be kind, that fresh water is always waiting, that soft voices are comforting, and that she never has to wonder if someone is coming back for her.

Now all she needs is someone willing to show her what life is truly supposed to be—a home where shes cherished, protected, and loved like every dog deserves.
