Hi, we're Minks and Gretchen.
We never thought we'd end up here .
One day we had a home, a familiar place to sleep, people we trusted, and a life that felt safe. Then suddenly, everything changed . We have no clue why. We only know that the people we loved are gone, and now we're waiting behind shelter doors, hoping someone will see us and give us another chance.
We're both young cats with our whole lives ahead of us, but it's hard not to wonder if anyone will choose us.
Minks is a gentle panther boy with the most beautiful golden eyes and a calm, loving heart.
Gretchen is sweet, affectionate, and impossible not to fall in love with once you meet her.
We still have so much love to give, even after having our hearts broken.
The one thing that has made this scary journey easier is having each other.
When everything familiar disappeared, we weren't alone. We would love to stay together if possible, because sometimes a best friend is the only piece of home you have left .
Every day we watch people walk past us . Some stop, some smile, but they all have something in common . They all move on.
Maybe it's because there are so many cats waiting. Maybe it's because black cats like Minks are often overlooked. Whatever the reason, we're still here, hoping our turn will come .
We aren't asking for perfection. We don't need a fancy house or endless toys. We just want someone who will look at us and say, "You're home." Someone who won't give up on us. Someone who will love us for the rest of our lives.
