Meet Wero!

Wero is a handsome cream-colored Schnauzer/Terrier mix with gentle eyes, a kind heart, and a future that's finally beginning to look bright.

At just a year old, Wero has already endured more than any dog ever should. He was found as an injured stray after he had been roaming a neighborhood and reportedly ate a neighbor's chickens. In response, he was shot in the backside, leaving him frightened, injured, and alone. Despite everything he went through, Wero never gave up.

Thanks to rescue and dedicated medical care, he's healing beautifully and getting stronger every day.

As his body heals, so does his heart.

Each day, Wero is learning that human hands can bring comfort instead of fear. He's slowly building trust, one gentle touch at a time, and it's been incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence grow. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet, gentle soul who simply wants to feel safe and loved.

Wero has a soft spot for wet food and treats, and they're a great way to earn his trust-and his adorable attention. Every little victory, from accepting affection to wagging his tail a little more each day, is a reminder of just how resilient this special boy is.

Wero is looking for a patient, compassionate family who will continue helping him discover that the world can be a kind place. He doesn't need perfection-just someone willing to love him through his journey and celebrate every milestone along the way.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
