Calista is a beautiful 1-year-old, 15-pound Terrier mix with a gentle soul that's just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be.

When Calista was found as a stray, she was in heartbreaking condition. It's clear that she hadn't experienced the love, comfort, and security every dog deserves. But despite her difficult start, this sweet girl is slowly learning that her story doesn't have to end there.

Calista is a little shy when meeting new people, but beneath that timid exterior is an incredibly gentle, loving dog. One of her favorite places to be is in your arms, where she can feel safe and protected. Being held brings her comfort, and as she continues to learn to trust, she's discovering that human hands can offer love instead of fear.

She's wonderful with other dogs, and having canine friends helps her feel more confident as she navigates this new chapter of her life. Every day she grows a little braver, learning that cozy beds are for sleeping, kind words are meant for her, and every meal, treat, and gentle touch is something she can count on.

Calista is looking for a patient, compassionate family who understands that trust takes time. She may not show you her whole heart on the first day, but with kindness, consistency, and love, she'll reward you with a bond that's truly unforgettable.

Adoption fee is: $400

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
