Meet Berlioz - a shy little sweetheart ready to find his place in the world

Berlioz is a 2-year-old black and brown Yorkie mix, weighing about 10 pounds. With his scruffy coat and soft, watchful eyes, he has a quiet charm that draws you in - the kind of pup who may not demand attention, but quickly becomes unforgettable.

He arrived at the shelter with three other dogs from the same home, and all the recent changes have left him feeling a bit uncertain. Berlioz tends to take his time getting comfortable, preferring to observe before jumping in. But once he realizes he's safe, his gentle and affectionate nature starts to shine through in the sweetest ways.

Berlioz would do best in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs and can give him the space he needs to build trust. He's not the bold, life-of-the-party type - he's the loyal companion who will quietly bond with his person and stay close once he feels secure. Doesn't take long for him to come up to you on the couch and ask to sit in your lap.

He does well with other dogs and seems to enjoy having canine companions around. Berlioz is also good with cats, although he can be a little nervous around them at first. He would likely do best with a calm, mellow cat who will give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable. Once he realizes everyone is friendly, he settles in nicely. He's potty trained and working in his leash training.

At just 10 pounds, he's perfectly sized for cozy laps, slow mornings, and peaceful evenings. With consistency, patience, and love, Berlioz has all the potential to blossom into a devoted little shadow who will follow you anywhere.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
