Meet Casey Your New Best Friend!

At just 1-2 years old and 10 pounds, Casey is an irresistibly adorable Shih Tzu mix with the sweetest little underbite that will make you smile every day.

Casey can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he knows he's safe, his loving personality shines through. He becomes incredibly affectionate and enjoys being close to his people. At bedtime, he'd much rather snuggle up with his family than sleep alone in a crate.

This curious little explorer loves discovering new things and is a quick learner—especially when treats are involved! Casey is very food motivated, making training fun and rewarding. He walks beautifully on a leash, is housebroken for pee breaks, and does wonderfully during bath time. In fact, one of his favorite traditions is celebrating with joyful zoomies after every bath!

Casey loves playing with toys, gets along great with other dogs, and is friendly with everyone he meets. He's neutered and healthy and ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own.

He can be a bit hesitant about going outside, especially if it's rainy or the ground is wet, but with a little encouragement and reassurance, his confidence continues to grow.

He is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Currently this dog is being fostered near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $525 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
