Momma - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Petersburg, Virginia

Momma is a sweet girl with one simple wish, and that is a soft bed of her own.

She is a fawn pit mix with a white patch on her chest, amber eyes, and two ears that do not always agree on which way to fold. Momma came to Petersburg Animal Care and Control as a stray, so she is still new to us. She has clearly had puppies not long ago, and she is still putting some weight back on, so the family who takes her should expect to watch her keep filling out for a while yet.

She is as sweet as they come, and she would be happiest in a home where a cozy spot is already waiting for her.

Being honest about what we do not know. We have not had Momma long enough to know how she does with other dogs, cats, or children, and we will share more as we get to know her.

We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
