**Meet Peanut!**

Peanut is an approximately 5-month-old Mountain Cur mix who, along with his brother Max, was found abandoned as a stray. A kind finder took the boys in and cared for them for a couple of weeks, but unfortunately, their housing situation meant they couldn't keep them. Now Peanut is ready for a family of his own.

Peanut is the more outgoing of the two brothers and is usually happy to make friends. He's social, affectionate, and has that fun, friendly puppy personality that makes it hard not to fall in love with him. He's been around other dogs and children and has done well with both.

What Peanut hasn't had much experience with is **being a house dog**. He has spent his life outside up until now, so there's going to be a little catching up to do when it comes to all the things a typical family puppy would have already experienced.

At 5 months old, Peanut is an "older puppy" who is ready to learn. His new family will need to help him catch up on socialization, introduce him to new people, places, sounds, and experiences, and work with him on all those important puppy skills - house manners, potty training, basic obedience, leash skills, and learning how to be a polite member of the family.

The good news? Peanut is young, sweet, social, and ready to soak it all in. He hasn't had the easiest start, but he's got plenty of time to make up for lost experiences and discover just how much fun being someone's beloved dog can be.
